Invitation to Participate in Catholic Day on the Hill, Feb. 24
Catholics from across Tennessee are invited to gather at the State Capitol on Tuesday, Feb. 24, for Catholic Day on the Hill sponsored by the Tennessee Catholic Conference.

Catholic Day on the Hill provides an opportunity for the faithful to bring Gospel values into the public square by engaging directly with state lawmakers. Participants will join fellow Catholics, clergy, and bishops to pray, learn about key public policy issues, and advocate for legislation that upholds the dignity of human life, protects religious freedom, supports families, and promotes the common good.

The day will begin with a morning briefing to outline the legislative priorities of the Tennessee Catholic Conference during the current General Assembly session. Attendees will receive guidance on how Catholic social teaching informs public policy and how to effectively communicate those principles to elected officials.

Following the briefing, participants will see a typical day of legislative committees and visit the offices of their state senators and representatives, offering a Catholic perspective on issues affecting communities throughout Tennessee.
Catholic Day on the Hill is open to all Catholics who wish to take an active role in faithful citizenship, whether they are seasoned advocates or first-time participants. No prior legislative experience is required.

The Tennessee Catholic Conference serves as the public policy voice of the Catholic bishops of Tennessee, representing the Church on matters of concern before state government.
